Posting your resolution on New Year’s Resolution Blog is easy as pie, and way less fattening (thank goodness). It just takes four simple steps:
1. Register with WordPress. WordPress is our blog management system. To register, just click this link and enter a username of your choice and a functional email address. A password will be emailed to you (you can change it later if you’d like). Check your email for the password, which should show up within 10 minutes or so. NOTE: check your spam folder, too, since your email client may interpret the password email as spam. Once you have your password…
2. Login to the WordPress Site Admin with the username you chose and the password that was emailed to you. Use the Login link that appears in the navigation column on the right all the New Year’s Resolution Blog pages, or just click here. Logging in will take you to the WordPress administration page, which you can also access from the “Site Admin” link in the right-hand navigation column on the blog homepage when you are logged in. Click here to get to the admin page if you’re not already there.
3. Click on the Write link at the top of the WordPress administration page. This will bring you to a page where you can write and save a post. Please give your post a title and keep your post’s topic at least somewhat related to New Year’s Resolutions. When you’re done writing your post, be sure to Save it by clicking the “Save” button to the bottom right of the post field.
4. Sit back and wait! I know, I know, waiting is hard. I don’t like it either! But once you save your post, it has to be approved by a site Editor (like me!) before it can be added to the site. This is just a precaution we’re taking to make sure that all posts on the site will be relevant to the topic at hand and supportive of other users. Posts should be checked and approved on a daily basis (unless I get lazy!).
That’s really all it takes to get your wonderful resolutions posted on this site, so what are you waiting for? Post your resolution now!
