Running update
Tuesday, February 20th, 2007Yowza! My marathon plan has been going fine so far, but this week thie mileage is upped a bit–just by a mile or two each day, but it’s making a difference. I can definitely feel it in my legs!
I’ve also started running a new, longer course, and it has a huuuge hill on it. I don’t take the hill very hard, but it’s still a bit of a monster. I haven’t made it up without walking a bit so far, but hopefully after a few more runs I’ll have it conquered. My training plan doesn’t involve much hill work, which is starting to worry me because I know the marathon course is pretty hilly (it’s San Francisco, what do you expect?!). I think if I keep running this monster hill route and maybe do hill work instead of a few of the the “track” workouts I have to do. Today is supposed to involve 3×800s, which I think I’ll do on the flat, but maybe I’ll sub some 400 repeats with hill work.
Anyway, things are going well! I’m pretty busy at work and pretty established in my running routine now, but I’m definitely still here for anyone who needs support on their New Year’s resolution!
