Make your own custom M&M’s!
Friday, February 2nd, 2007Yeah, you heard right: custom M&M’s! Settle for the plain ol’ primary colors and white M’s no longer. The website MyMMs.com lets you customize M&Ms with your own personal message. You can choose from several colors, including the traditional M&M hues, several shades of pastel (light purple, light blue, and pink), dark green, aqua, gold, silver, cream, white, black, and even dark pink M&M’s. Pink AND dark pink? What a perfect Valentine’s Day combo! (Hint, hint to anyone who wants to get me a Valentine’s gift! :D).
One side of the M&M will still proudly bear the traditional white M, but the other side will be personalized with your own message — two lines, 8 characters per line, in black text. It’s not a lot of space, but M&M’s aren’t exactly billboard-sized. And it’s just enough to comfortably fit my favorite phrase: Totally Tracy! If you’d like, you can actually create two different messages, one for each color of M&M in your order. That’s a lot of variety for such small candies!
For those in serious relationships, “Will You Marry Me” happens to fit just right on the M&Ms — though you do have to leave out the question mark, which may upset the grammatically correct among us. And it’s probably a little late to order Super Bowl M&Ms (expedited shipping doesn’t seem to be available), but for those who’ve planned ahead, a set of blue and white or blue and orange candies will definitely take any Super Bowl party to the next level.
I’m sooo excited about these little guys that I just might have to order some to celebrate my marathon completion. You can actually set it up so they’ll deliver the candies on a specified date in the future! I think I’ve gotta go place my order now. July 29, 2007, here I come — armed with M&Ms!

Ouch! Those prices hurt my eyes. These would have to be sent by a very special friend. If you have a significant other, send them over to my comment - I experimented with your name in there Tracy and it looks positively super. Plus, you deserve them!

Ooh, I just thought of another good use for these! They would make great party favors when done up in your wedding colors and put into little net pouches with ribbon and wedding bells! If the bride and groom’s names are not too long, they could be printed on them.
